  	Death of Arthur E Dutton June 1905 , Cherokee, Iowa Taken from unknown newspaper article- "He Dies at Hospital at Cherokee and Funeral is Held Today at M. E. Church The funeral of Arthur E Dutton, who died at the hospital, at Cherokee Monday morning was held from the M E Church at this place this afternoon, the services being conducted by Rev. R.T. Chipperfield. Many relatives, neighbors and friends were present. Mr. Dutton's failing health caused him to be taken to the hospital about the middle of February. For a while there seemed to be hopes that he would recover, but he finally grew weaker and passed gently away. The immediate cause of his death was heart failure. He was born January 14, 1862 at Chemung, Illinois, where he lived until he came to this county in the spring of 1888. He lived at home on his father's farm till about four years ago when he moved to town. He was the oldest of a family of fourteen children, all of whom lived to maturity, excepting the youngest two. Mr. Dutton was never strong and rugged like his brothers. In disposition he was quiet and unassuming. He was a kind husband and a neighbor whom all respected. He was the father of eight children, Fred, Harry,who is deceased, Walter, Wayne,Mertis, Marjorie, Robert, and Paul. His wife and his aged mother are crused over the gloom that has come to their home. The fact that he died away from home, ans, amid strangers tends to increase the depths of their sorrows.. The remains were accompanied from the hospital by W.A. Dutton and C.E.Campbell, arriving Tuesday evening. The interment this afternoon will be at the family burial lot at the Irvington cemetery, where lies... of little Harry and of the ... of Arthur Dutton."
