  	Oscar William Castens died at age 83 on Sunday, April 1, 2007, at his Percy home. He was born in Degognia Township on December 12, 1923, a son of William H. and Anna S. Biesner Castens. He married Norma Englehardt in Campbell Hill on August 4, 1962. He is survived by one son, Oscar W. Castens Jr. of Fredericktown, Missouri; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Peggy Roberts of Steeleville; three step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mary Thompson of Ava; and one niece, Sharon Roberts of Ava. He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a brother, Louis Castens and one niece, Patsy Creamer. Mr. Castens was a semi-retired farmer.
