  	Eddith Joan Aldridge, (Joan) 78, formerly of Anniston passed away August 18, 2021. She was a graduate of Walker High School. She attended Jacksonville State University and the University of Alabama where she received her BA. She received her masters degree from Moorehead University in Kentucky. She taught AP English for many years at Munford High School. She retired from one of her loves of teaching in 2002. Joan was a lifelong Sacred Harp Singer from West Alabama. She traveled many miles to sing and fellowship with her Sacred Harp family all over the United States. She was loved and cherished by her Sacred Harp family. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert F. Aldridge and mother, Allie Henson Aldridge. The funeral service was August 22nd at Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper. Due to Covid there was not a visitation. Brother Ricky Harcrow presided over the service. The burial service immediately followed at Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church (Johnson Schoolhouse) in Fayette County. (Partial obituary with names of living relatives omitted.
