  	BRANDON - Grace Isabell Vassau, 81, died Aug 19, 2000, at Rutland Regional Medical Center. She was born Jan 15, 1919, the daughter of Guy E and Arlie (Dutton) Ladd. She received her education in Goshen schools. She married William Vassau on Jan 29 1936, in Rutland. Mrs Vassau had been a resident of Brandon since 1975. She was a volunteer telephone caller for the Brandon Area Rescue Squad, a member of the Brandon Senior Citizens and she served on the School Board. She belonged to St Mary's Catholic Church. She is survived by two daughters, Helena Cousineau of Goshen and Geraldine Jackson of Ripton; a sister, Joyce Wheeler of Brandon; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband in 1974 and by a son, Ronald Vassau. The funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug 22 at 10 am at St Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev Albert Baltz. Burial will follow in Goshen Community Cemetery. Friends may call at the Miller & Ketcham Funeral Home today from 7 to 9 pm. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Brandon Area Rescue Squad, PO Box 232, Brandon, or to Rutland Area Visiting Nurses Association & Hospice, Albert Cree Drive, Rutland 05701.
