    • Mrs. Louise Hines O'Rear, 90, affectionately known to many as "Moma O", died Tuesday, November 26, 2002, at her residence following an extended illness...

      Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens...

      A native of the Cross Bridges Community, she was the daughter of the late Robert Hines and Rosabelle Holt Hines. She was married to John B. O'Rear who preceded her in death on December 26, 1994. She was a devoted mother, homemaker, and member of the Cross Bridges Baptist Church.

      In 1932, she and her sister, Lucille Ray, began operating a pie wagon on South Main Street. Later they open Louise and Lucille's Restaurant, which they operated until the end of World War II. She and her sister Edna Lyles worked for years as cafeteria managers at the old Union Carbide Plant in Columbia.

      Survivors include two daughters, Linda O'Rear of Columbia; Anita (A.J.) Williams of Fayetteville; three grandchildren...; sister, Mrs. Ralph (Clariece) Ussery of Columbia; nieces and nephews; and special friends Kenny and Debbie Green.

      She was preceded in death by five sisters, Lucille Ray, Mary Prince, Laura Griffin, Edna Lyles, Elizabeth "Lib" Malugin; and four brothers, Robert "Red" Hines, Jr., Polk Hines, Powell Hines, and Austin Hines.... [1]
