    • Paul was born the son of and Robin Watkins and Josie Lindsey Boteler. Paul was a decorated Verteran of World War II and continued many lifelong friendships with his fellow soldiers of the 30th Tank Destroyer Battalion.
      For many years he served the Jasper community as U.S. Post Office mail Carrier, making friends and touching lives along the way. He was an avid golfer and longtime member of Musgrove Country Club. He played in countless golf Tournaments before his eyesight failed.
      Foir the last eight years he lived in the lovely retirement communtiy of Merrill Gardens in Northport, Alabama. For a number of years he conductedd Bible Study classes for the residents. Although legally blind, he used audio recordings to help him in his studies. He attended Sunday services at Merrill Gardens conducted by Phillip Crocker, but Kept his membership at First Christian Church in Jaspser. Paul was supportive of his church and mission work throughout his life.
      Paul and Celeste were never blessed with children of their own, but he was a loving and generous uncle to a number of mieces and nephews. He was a loyal friend to all who knew him. Paul witnessed daily to all who crossed his path. He will be remembered by so many whose lives he touched spiritually. Preceding him in death were his parents Robin Watkins Boteler and Josie Lindsey Boteler, his brothers Neil Boteler, Robin Boteler and David Boteler and also his beloved wife Celeste Woods Boteler.
