- A founding member of Outdoor Recreation For Seniors (ORFS), a group created in the mid-1990s under the auspices of the Kearsarge Council On Aging in New London, NH, for weekly hiking, kyacking and other good fun for active seniors.

Springfield, NH - Marilyn C. (Miller) Heath, 92, of Route 4A, died Monday, April 6, 2015 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Framingham, MA on January 18, 1923 the daughter of Guy and Della (Dutton) Miller.
Marilyn graduated from Keene State College and was active in the alumni. She lived in Springfield most of her adult life and had been a teacher at Goshen, Newport, Springfield and New London. She mostly taught math and retired in 1981 from the Kearsarge Regional School District after more than 29 years of teaching.
Marilyn was a member of the Springfield Memorial Church. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed kayaking, hiking and snowshoeing. She volunteered for the COA and participated in the ORFS programs.
Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, Hollis, in 1994, daughter, Nancy Landry, brother, Charles Miller and sister, Janice Miller. She is survived by sons David and his wife Sue of Ocala, FL, James of Sebring, FL, Sherman of Springfield, NH and Robert of Springfield, NH, daughter, Elsie Tenney of Newport, NH, many grand and great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Miller of Wilmot, NH and a son-in-law, Richard Landry of Claremont, NH.
A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Springfield Historical Society, P.O. Box 6, Springfield, NH 03284 or Kearsarge Area Council on Aging, P.O. Box 1263, New London, NH 03257. [3]
