  	Mary Ann Dogotch July 7, 1928 — March 26, 2010 Published: Thursday, April 1, 2010 10:40 AM CDT A funeral Mass for Mary Ann (Koppen) Dogotch was held Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Whittemore with Father Victor Ramaeker officiating. Visitation and a Rosary were held prior to the funeral. Interment followed at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery Mary Ann (Koppen) Dogotch was born on July 7, 1928, at Whittemore, to Mike and Anna (Bruhn) Koppen. She grew up in Whittemore and graduated from the Presentation Academy in 1946. After her schooling, Mary Ann worked in Algona, for a time. On January 29, 1948, Mary Ann was united in marriage to Frank Dogotch, Jr. at Saint Michael's Catholic Church in Whittemore. The couple lived and farmed 60 years in the Whittemore area, where they raised their family. Mary Ann worked as a clerk in the Kossuth County Auditor's Office in Algona for nearly 20 years. In 1992, Mary Ann and Frank retired and moved from the farm into Whittemore. Frank died in February of 2008. Mary Ann was a member of the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Whittemore, where she also belonged to the Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the St. Michael's Rosary Society for many years. She enjoyed playing Bridge, golfing, crafts, dancing and the Red Hat Ladies activities. Mary Ann was also a volunteer at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. She loved entertaining and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed spending over 19 winters in Texas with Frank and made many friends there also. Mary Ann died on Friday, March 26, 2010, at the McAllen Heart Hospital in McAllen, Texas. She was 81. Surviving are her children, Diane Senkel, St. Louis, Mo., Linda Carpentier and husband, Jeff, Atlanta, Ga., Jerry Dogotch, Faribault, Minn., Julie Dodds and husband, Rick, Humboldt, and Corinne Copeland and husband, Hal, Denver, Colo. Also surviving are five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank, her granddaughter, Katie and three brothers, Clete, Ralph and Paul Koppen.
