  Thomas was born about 1658, the son of Thomas Daggett Sr. and Hannah Mayhew. He was a grandson of Gov. Thomas Mayhew. He was a carpenter and resident of Edgartown, Martha's Vineyard (Dukes Co.), MA. He held the rank of lieutenant, later captain, in the Edgartown militia. He removed to Bristol, RI, ca. 1685, but returned to Martha's Vineyard, 1689-91. [1]
