  Son of Ivan Ivory Seymour and Lora Mae Dutton Seymour. Anchorage Daily News January 30, 1998 Kenai resident Coral William Seymour, 67, died Jan. 27, 1998, at Providence Alaska Medical Center from complications following surgery. A memorial service was held at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church in Kenai with Sister Joyce Ross officiating. Mr. Seymour was born July 15, 1930, in Hettinger, N.D., to Ivan and Laura Dutton Seymour. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. Mr. Seymour transferred to Alaska in March 1967 with Schlumberger Oilfield Services, and lived in Kenai. He retired from Schlumberger in December 1984. He was active with Peninsula Oilers baseball, Kenai Elks Lodge 2425, Boy Scout Troop 357 and the Hockey Booster Club. He enjoyed family, baseball, fishing and playing cribbage and pinochle. His family said: "Coral helped start the Peninsula Oilers Baseball Team in 1973. He worked as general manager for several years and served on the of directors these past 24 years. He helped start and worked at the Mother's Day Pancake Breakfast put on by the Boy Scouts Troop 357. He put in countless hours in support of the local youth organizations and the community. He will be missed and remembered by his family and friends." Surviving are his wife, Marjorie Seymour of Kenai; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Lori of Kenai, and Len and Jan of Anchorage; grandchildren, Kris, Cody, Cortney, Nathan, Sabrina and Lucus; brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Rosie of Spearfish, S.D.; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Hazel and Joe Manning of Hettinger, Mary and John Ruecastle of Whitewood, S.D., Evelyn Hill of Spearfish, and Dorothy and Bill Young of Lincoln, Neb.
