  Horace Dutton was born 8 Aug 1817 in a location near Middleburgh, Schoharie County, New York (Mont. Co, NY, Presb. Ch. of Schoharie, 67). He died 3 Feb 1898 at Faribault, Rice County, Minnesota (Clerk of Courts, Rice Co.). This is roughly fifty to sixty miles south of the multi-city area of Minneapolis & St. Paul. He was buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery in a part of Faribault, Canon City township, Site B-24 (Dalby, 3). Horace Dutton was on the 1840 census in Schoharie County, then with his wife and children on the 1850 census in Greene County, 1855 census (Bowman, 55), and 1860 census in Greene County as a farmer with a post office of East Durham. The 1855 census stated they had been in Greene County for seven years. In 1870, 1875, and 1880, he is shown with family in Rice County, Minnesota near Faribault. [3]
