  Son of William Dutton & Abigail "Nabby" (Smith) Dutton. Husband of Julia Ann Lathum. Died at age 30. William Dutton graduated from Brown University, Rhode Island, in 1840 and became the 5th Principle Teacher of Kalamazoo College in Michigan. He served on the staff from 1840 to 1843 at was replaced by the 1st official presient of the College James Stone. Mr. William Dutton was well liked and respected and Dutton Street in Kalamazoo, Michigan was named after him. William died in Michigan or Ohio. [1]
