    • She was born on April 8, 1900 in Potsdam, a daughter of Carroll and Maude McCarter Nightengale. She was educated in Potsdam schools.

      She married Harold I. Seaver, of Winthrop at the Methodist parsonage in West Stockholm on July 30, 1919. He died on June 7, 1981.

      She worked at the Surprise Store in Potsdam, for 22 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Parishville.

      She played the piano at the theater during silent movies and played in the Happy Hour Orchestra at Holmes Hill, Winthrop, and at Grange dances.

      Surviving was a son, Lyndon, of Kingston and Lake Ozonia; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Hope) Holcomb, Massena, and Mrs. Richard (Carol) Whalen, Boulder, CO; a sister, Hazel Waite, Sandfordville; a brother, Jack Nightengale, Rochester; six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

      Two brothers, Hollis and Kenneth; two sisters, Ruth White and Margaret Dorothy; and two grandchildren died before her.
