• Notes

  Chandler Wallis married Nancy Sawyer on 13 Feb 1826. The had 11 children together. The story goes, while living in Solon OH in a log cabin Chandler injured himself lifting stones for the foundation of a new house and died of these injuries. He left his wife alone with seven children under the age of 13. The older children were sent off to boarding school or to work for other families. Their youngest son, James Chandler "Jimmie" Wallace died as a soldier during the Civil War. [3]
