A Southern belle born in 1924 in Cullman, Alabama, to R.L. and Angalea Parker. Swept off her feet at the age of 14 by James "Red" Solley and his wonderful sense of humor. Beloved mother of Jim (Jan) Solley and Gerry (Ed) Johnson; cherished grandmother of Kimberly Solley, Leslie Johnson, and Christine Johnson; and great-grandmother of Jamie, Kaitlyn, Nisa, Daniella, and Jose. Transplanted in 1945 to Arizona, where she became a Sunday school teacher, wife, mother, homemaker, caregiver, baker, seamstress, gardener, quilter, card shark, and house painter. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at Evergreen Mortuary, Tucson. A church service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Mountain View Baptist Church, Tucson, with Pastor Brett Burnett officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery. [3]
