  Moses Dutton was born 16 October 1810 in Kennebec County, Maine . He was a farmer. On 6 December 1831 in Brown County, Ohio, he married Rebecca Curless, daughter of Asher and Sarah (Osborne) Curless. To this union were born 11 children: Elmira, Asa, Daniel, Nancy Jane, Henry J., John, Mary, William, James William, Albert and Randolph. Moses died 8 January 1877 in Summum, Fulton County, Illinois.
