• Notes

  Second youngest of 11 children to Chandler and Nancy (Sawyer) Wallis. Very close to her brother Chandler James (Jimmie) who died in the Civil War. Married Warren Benjamine Gregory on Jan. 1, 1876 in Cascade MI. They had three children; two boys who died as young children and their daughter "Bessie". Emma Wallis changed the spelling of her last name to Wallace when she was still in school but after her father died. [4]
